How it works
From intake to claim, in a single visit.
Spectra handles the four steps that usually live in four different tools: issuing the screening, running it adaptively, producing a clinician-ready report, and capturing the billing it earned.
01 · Start a session
Provider opens Spectra, enters MRN, DOB, and visit type (regular, Medicare AWV, telehealth), and chooses how the patient will complete it: in-office tablet, portal link, or telehealth link. A single-use, time-limited URL is generated.

02 · Adaptive screening
The patient answers a tiered, branching survey covering depression (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7), somatic symptom burden (SSS-8), alcohol use (AUDIT-C), and a NIDA single-question drug-use screen. Spectra only asks what's clinically warranted, and a positive PHQ-9 item-9 raises a prominent clinical-review banner for suicidality.

03 · Structured report
Provider report renders domain scores, severity bands, verbatim safety language, and a suicidality banner when relevant. Cleared domains are green; positive screens are red — for clinical state only.

04 · Suggested billing + what-if
Each report ships with suggested CPT codes, modifiers, and ICD-10 — plus a 'suppressed with reason' line so you understand what was not billed and why (e.g. 96127 on a testing day). Rebill panel re-prices live as you toggle E&M or testing minutes.

A note on screening vs testing
CPT 96127 (brief screening) and 96130 / 96136 / 96138 (formal psychological testing) should be billed on separate dates of service. Spectra suppresses 96127 on a testing day and tells you why in the report — you never have to remember the rule.
